Tableholic is a new Singapore startup that sells affordable ergonomic desks. With work-from-home becoming a new normal for many of us, having a good desk is as important as having a good chair. For example, sit-stand desk allows you to change the height of the desk so that you don’t sit all day long.
Tableholic aims to provide ergonomic desk to mass consumers and businesses at affordable prices. Currently, Tableholic has five types of desks in its lineup. They are:
- A-Desk
- C-Desk
- E-Desk / E-Desk Pro
- E-Desk Pro Ultimate
- Baby-Desk
1. A-Desk
The A-Desk is a typical fixed height desk at 73cm and has its table top made out of high quality Parawood. There is only one option for the table top size which is 122cm (L) * 60 cm (W).
The table comes with a cut-out at the back of the desk for all your cables to pass through. This allows you to keep the table neat as all the cables will seamlessly pass through the opening instead of dangling from edges of the desk.
The A-Desk retails at S$268.
2. C-Desk
The C-Desk is Tableholic’s entry-level adjustable height desk, and the table top is also made from Parawood. There is also a cable pass through cut-out at the back of the table.
There is only one option for the table top size which is 120cm (L) * 60 cm (W). Instead of using motor, the height of the desk is adjusted by the cranking the handle. You can adjust the height between 75cm to 115cm.
The C-Desk retails at S$368.
3. E-Desk / E-Desk Pro
The E-Desk is Tableholic’s flagship adjustable height desk. Both the E-Desk and E-Desk Pro adjust the height of the desk via dual motors which is powered by electricity which can support up to 100kg capacity. The range of height adjustable is from 65cm to 125cm.
You can also store height presets so that a single tap of the button will take your table to a height that you preset. For the E-Desk, you can store up to four presets, while the E-Desk Pro allows you to store up to three presets. These presets can be triggered on the control pad, which also shows you the current height of the table.
Another difference between the E-Desk and E-Desk Pro is that the Pro model is Bluetooth enabled. The E-Desk Pro is the first Bluetooth enabled desk in Singapore that allows you control the height of the table via an app on your phone. The app also gives you insights on your sit-stand ratio. The E-Desk Pro costs S$30 more than the regular E-Desk.
Not only is the E-Desk smart, it also has safety features such as anti-collision and a child lock feature. As for the table top, you can choose from either Parawood which has a fixed length of 120cm, or opt for MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) which offers more length and colour options. The MDF option allows you to choose from a darker walnut finish, light wood or a clean white PVC coating, with length options ranging from 120cm to 160cm.
You can upgrade your E-Desk to the Pro version for S$30 more at any table top size, except for the 120cm MDF variant. You can also choose between white or black for the colour of the frame.
The E-Desk starts from S$518, with the Pro costing S$30 more.

Parawood vs MDF
Parawood is also known as rubber wood, plantation hardwood, Malaysian oak, white teak or by its genus Hevea. Parawood a great choice for furniture as it is durable, tough and fairly low maintenance when it comes to stains. It is also resistant to fire and burns. Parawood can generally last 20 years if it is well taken care of.
As MDF, which its full name being Medium Density Fibreboard, is a wood composite. MDF will not be as tough as Parawood, making it more affordable. Tableholic claims that their MDF used is stronger than Ikea or other laminate wood. Going for MDF also offers you more size options and colour finishes such as walnut wood, light wood, or white (as shown below).
Do note that if you choose White or Walnut MDF for Baby-Desk or the entry level E-Desk, your table top will be thinner (1.8cm) compared to Parawood (2.5cm). Choosing MDF for table sizes ranging from 140cm to 160cm will have 2.5cm thickness.
