Advanced sound stage
Audio-Technica ATH-TWX9 is equipped with Audio-Technica’s all-new 5.8mm driver design that features three layers of hard and soft materials to minimize vibrations to ensure excellent a full immersive soundscape. ATH-TWX9 also uses an edge-mounted system that includes an external magnetic circuit to enable louder volumes compared to similarly sized drivers. Lastly, the air vents on the ATH-TWX9 are made from high-precision mesh from Sefar, that effectively regulates airflow and output sound pressure from the driver for high noise-cancelling performance and audio reproduction.
Detailed call quality
Audio-Technica ATH-TWX9 has MEMS microphones placed strategically in two locations of each earbud, allowing for beamforming technology to work. The microphones work hand-in-hand with Qualcomm cVc Generation 8.0 (Clear Voice Capture) technology to ensure clear voice transmission even in noisy environments.
Audio-Technica ATH-TWX9 comes with Sidetone function to allow you to hear your own voice during calls so that you can gauge your volume when conversing outdoors. Lastly, there is even a quick microphone function that you can enable directly from the earbuds without having to touch your smartphone.
Dual noise cancelling systems and Hear-Through
The same MEMS microphones take in external noise and passes it through Audio-Technica’s proprietary noise filter for active noise cancelling. Simply touching and holding the earbuds while wearing them will allow the ATH-TWX9 to measure the external noise and automatically apply the best noise cancelling settings. Alternatively, you can choose from five presets of noise cancelling modes – Airplane, On The Go, Office/Study, Home, and Train – via the Connect app.
ATH-TWX9 also has Hear-Through mode that allows external surroundings to come into the earbuds.
Snapdragon Sound & 360 Reality Audio
Using a device that supports Snapdragon sound, the ATH-TWX9 will be able to produce better audio performance via its A2DP codec (music playback codec) which can transmit high resolutions equivalent to up to 96 kHz/24 bit for a wider dynamic range. It also supports Qualcomm aptX Voice codec for improved two-way calls with better clarity and resolution. Snapdragon Sound Platform also reduces latency in videos and games.
ATH-TWX9 supports Sony’s 360 Reality Audio technology as well.
More than a charging case
The charging case of the ATH-TWX9 supports Qi Wireless charging, or the USB-C. And when storing the earbuds back in the case, there is deep-UV LED sterilization system that eliminates bacteria and viruses from earbuds surfaces.
