The earbud battery life has been improved to five hours, with an additional two hours of listening time available from just a 15-minute charge. The charging cases for each model also provide additional battery life, with 16 hours available for Pi7 S2 and 19 hours for Pi5 S2.

Seamless user experience from the Music App

The app also supports hi-res streaming capability directly from your mobile device to your earbuds, with services such as Qobuz, TIDAL, and Deezer.
Smart features
The Pi7 S2 retains Wireless Audio Retransmission, a breakthrough feature from the first-generation model, allowing users to wirelessly transmit audio from an external source, such as an in-flight entertainment system, to the earbuds via the Smart charging case, all with outstanding sound quality. Both Pi7 S2 and Pi5 S2 headphones have a simple one-button user interface, with a single capacitive button on each earbud that can perform multiple tasks easily. They also support voice assistant through Siri or Google Assistant, depending on the connected device. The Bowers & Wilkins Music App also offers a range of user adjustments for customers who wish to fine-tune their earbuds to their preferences.
True Wireless sound
The Pi7 S2, being the flagship True Wireless model, supports Qualcomm aptXTM Adaptive, allowing high-resolution music transmission from compatible streaming services and devices, enabled by 24-bit/48kHz wireless transmission between each earbud. With these two technologies, the Pi7 S2 is one of the few True Wireless earbuds capable of supporting high-resolution audio from the music source to the ears. The Pi7 S2 features 9.2mm bespoke Bowers & Wilkins drive units, joined by a high-frequency ‘balanced armature’ driver, with each of the four drive units actively driven by its own amplifier. The Pi7 S2 also offers Adaptive Noise Cancellation, which automatically monitors, analyses, and adapts to its surroundings to provide an uninterrupted listening experience. The ANC system is paired with six microphones, three in each earbud, for crystal-clear sound quality during phone calls.
The Pi5 S2 boasts TWS technology for strong earbud-to-earbud synchronisation and a single 9.2mm bespoke drive unit in each earbud, providing top-notch audio performance in its class. With the inclusion of high-quality aptX wireless transmission, it also supports CD-quality playback from compatible mobile devices. Pi5 S2 features selectable noise-cancelling and an ambient pass-through mode, as well as twin built-in microphones per earbud for clear phone calls.
