Tempered Glass Screen Protector

First item on the list is definitely Ugreen’s tempered glass screen protector. Screen protection is typically the first accessory I’ll install on any new phone. And when it comes to installation, I priortise the ease of installation as bringing the bare phone out to a shop to have it installed is a hassle. Besides, the installation by them may not be perfect.

Ugreen’s tempered glass screen protector comes with an installation frame so that you can easily install the screen protector yourself. It is a simple 3-step process and Ugreen provided many preparation tools so that the whole experience is fuss free. I like that Ugreen’s tempered glass screen protector comes with an extra set of tempered glass so you have a replacement available in the future.

The installation was quite easy to do but I did find bubbles forming despite sliding my finger across to remove the excess air. Ugreen recommends to lift the corners of the protector across the air bubbles to remedy it, and it does work. Another great aspect Ugreen’s tempered glass screen protector is the curved borders so it won’t feel sharp around the edges. Lastly, the tempered glass screen protector also has an anti-fingerprint coating which makes it feel more premium and clean.

For the retail price of S$18, I think Ugreen’s tempered glass screen protector offers such good value given that you get two sets of tempered glass and the provided accessories in the box make the installation very fuss free.

Magnetic Kickstand Ring Stand Case

Second item that I’d for look for is a phone case, and the Ugreen’s Magnetic Kickstand Ring Stand Case caught my eye as it offers a little more functionality that a typical MagSafe case. The model I have is the “Clear-Rotatable 360°” variant.

The first useful feature of the Ugreen’s Magnetic Kickstand Ring Stand Case is the ability to flip out the magnetic ring as a kickstand. The kickstand can then be used prop up the iPhone in either horizontal or vertical orientation. As this variant is Rotatable 360°, there is more room for adjust the way the kickstand is angled, thereby achieving more angles for you to prop up your iPhone whether you are following a recipe or watching a show.

As for the plastics used on the Magnetic Kickstand Ring Stand Case, it feels good quality but only time will tell if it starts to yellow. There is some thickness to the case so it should provide protection against any falls. The area around the camera module has a raised lip which offers protection as well as allowing the iPhone to sit flush when placed on the flat surface.

Ugreen’s Magnetic Kickstand Ring Stand Case retails for S$25 and is again good value for the what it offers. There is also a Black colour option if a fully clear case is not your thing.

Nexode 30W GaN Foldable USB-C Charger

The Nexode series of products by Ugreen offers one key benefit – compact size due to its GaN technology. If you’re looking to achieve fast 25W MagSafe charging for your new iPhone 16 Pro, then you’d require at least a 30W power adapter / charger.

Apple sells a 30W USB-C power adapter, but it is large and costs S$55. Ugreen’s Nexode 30W GaN Foldable USB-C Charger is currently priced much cheaper at promo S$22, and it way smaller. It is even foldable such that the entire charger becomes a mere 32*32*40mm size that is easy to bring on-the-go. Besides, the build quality of the Nexode 30W GaN Foldable USB-C Charger is great. It comes a premium matte gunmetal finish, and the foldable components feel sturdy as well.

At it’s current S$22 price, the Ugreen’s Nexode 30W GaN Foldable USB-C Charger is pretty much a no-brainer if you are looking for a well-built 30W fast charger.

Magnetic 10,000mAh PD20W Fast Charging Mini Power Bank with Phone Stand

Since the introduction of MagSafe, it is always a good idea to have a power bank that can charge via MagSafe so you can eliminate the dangling cable if you are using the iPhone on-the-go. Ugreen sells a few magnetic power banks, but the one I particularly like is the 10,000mAh PD20W Fast Charging Mini Power Bank with Phone Stand.

I like products that offer more dimensions of functionality and the since 10,000mAh PD20W Fast Charging Mini Power Bank comes with a small kickstand at the back, I can use it to prop my iPhone up in both landscape or portrait orientation. This is useful to consume content when travelling in planes or trains. If you prefer not having the power bank attached to the back of your iPhone because of the thickness, you can always revert to the traditional wired charging as there are both USB-A and USB-C ports on the power bank.

10,000mAh isn’t the largest capacity, but it helps to keep the power bank small and light enough to store in a small bag. At the current S$65 price, Ugreen’s Magnetic 10,000mAh PD20W Fast Charging Mini Power Bank with Phone Stand is still a decent value when you compare to similar options on the market.

2-in-1 UNO 15W Qi2 Wireless Magnetic Charger

Using a wireless charger is just much more convenient than a wired one when you’re looking to “dock” you phone at the desk. Having it able to do MagSafe charging takes it one step further. Ugreen’s 2-in-1 UNO 15W Qi2 Wireless Magnetic Charger offers that in their UNO series of products. If you’re not familiar with the UNO lineup, it is basically Ugreen’s products with a TTF smart displays that feature emojis to indicate charging status for a fun experience.

Ugreen’s 2-in-1 UNO 15W Qi2 Wireless Magnetic Charger is foldable, making it small and compact to bring along when you are travelling. It offers 15W charge for iPhone, 5W for AirPods, and 5W via the USB-C charging port for your Apple Watch (charger is sold separately).

The angle of magnetic charging surface of Ugreen’s 2-in-1 UNO 15W Qi2 Wireless Magnetic Charger can be adjusted up to 70º, giving you flexibility to change based on your needs. The emoji on the TTF screen will show a mouth when the iPhone is being charged. But you can only see it if you are charging the iPhone in landscape mode (ie. Standby mode), as charging in portrait mode will block the screen.

What would have made Ugreen’s 2-in-1 UNO 15W Qi2 Wireless Magnetic Charger even better if the charger was more heavy / hefty so that it doesn’t get lifted up when I’m trying to remove my iPhone. It will make it less ideal for travelling, but it would be nice to see another version of this which is designed for being placed in a fixed position.

Ugreen’s 2-in-1 UNO 15W Qi2 Wireless Magnetic Charger retails for S$69, which is although more expensive than Apple’s MagSafe charger, offers more functions such as being able to charge your AirPods and potentially Apple Watch as well. If you’re looking for an all-in-one charging hub for your Apple devices, Ugreen’s 2-in-1 UNO 15W Qi2 Wireless Magnetic Charger is a great option to consider.

The contenders

There are three ergonomic mice that I’ve used for a while now, and they are:

1. Logitech MX Master 2S
2. Keychron M6
3. UGREEN M751 – Hyper-Fast Scroll Wireless Mouse

From the above images, the Logitech MX Master 2S may look the biggest, but it is in fact the Keychron M6 that feels the largest in hand due to the high mid-arch of the shape of the mouse. The UGREEN M751 is the smallest of the three, so those who find the MX Master 2S a tad big will find the UGREEN M751 to be a better fit. Curves on the UGREEN M751 are also the most gentle so while it may fit more hands, it might not be the most sculpted for some.

If you can install external software in your office…

Go with the Logitech MX Master 2S. Given the newer versions, the MX Master 2S can be easily bought for S$60 or less online making it a great bang for your buck. Yes it charges via USB-C but the battery lasts for quite a long time. And when it comes to comfort, the MX Master 2S is the most comfortable in my hand. It works via Bluetooth and 2.4GHz (you might need to buy the dongle separately for the newer Bluetooth Edition).

Having said that, I’d only buy the MX Master 2S only if my company allows me to install the Logitech Options+ app on my work system. Because if there is no way to install Logitech Options+, you have to be ok with how the default mouse settings out of the box. There is no way to adjust the DPI, or sensitivity of the adaptive scroll wheel without the app as there is no onboard memory setting on the MX Master 2S. The inability to adjust the sensitivity of the adaptive scroll on my work PC means I had to find another mouse.

If you want the lightest mouse…

Then the Keychron M6 is the lightest of the bunch. But I found the shape of the mouse to be slightly uncomfortable for prolonged use as the arch was just too high for me. Shape is a highly personal thing so it might still fit your hand. Shape aside, the Keychron M6 offer many features that are top-end as it a gaming mouse more so than an office mouse. It has the PixArt 3395 sensor and has up 1000Hz polling rate (with the standard model). Keychron M6 has dedicated DPI button to change it on the mouse itself, and has onboard memory settings and you can make adjustments to the mouse via the Keychron Engine.

There is also a unique tilt functionality on the scroll wheel to do small horizontal scrolling. Build quality however is the weakest of the three mice. The main scroll wheel feel and sound hollow, and the side wheel feels stiff to scroll as well.

If you want the most value for money…

The UGREEN M751 Hyper-Fast Scroll Wireless Mouse is the best option of the bunch. You can get for ~S$30 or less, and the build quality feels really good at this price point. The scroll wheel looks like it was inspired by the new MX Master 3, and it surprisingly feels nice to use. It is responsive, scrolls smoothly, and offers an hyper-fast scroll speed the moment you put more strength into the scroll. I am impressed by the quality of the scroll wheel for a mice that cost less than S$30. As for the side scroll wheel, it doesn’t scroll as smoothly but it is very much usable and by far a better scroll wheel when compared to the Keychron M6.

Shape wise, the UGREEN M751 isn’t too aggressive with its curves so it is a relatively safe ergonomic shape that offers more support for your palm and thumb than a regular office mouse. The back and forward buttons are well positioned for ease of reach. Speaking of buttons, all the buttons on the UGREEN M751 are silent clicks but they still feel decently tactile and not mushy. Overall build quality of the UGREEN M751 is good as well. It feels solid and well-made, not cheap feeling.

No mouse is without weaknesses. One drawback of the UGREEN M751 would likely be the weight when it is fully loaded with two AA batteries, making it the heaviest mouse of the bunch. There is also no onboard memory setting feature on the UGREEN M751 but at least there is a DPI button that lets you adjust DPI from 1000 to 5000 (should start from 800 in my opinion) Having said that, I realised that the UGREEN M751 always default back to 1200 DPI when the mouse is switched from off to on. If you use mainly use 1000 DPI then you have to press the DPI button four times in order to get back to 1000 DPI. It’s quite an inconvenience, but you can opt to get around it by changing the mouse speed setting on your PC.

Conclusion

The Logitech MX Master 2S was my go-to choice until I realised it doesn’t have onboard memory storage to save my settings. The UGREEN M751 was the best alternative I found so far and for it’s S$30 price tag does help to sweeten the deal.

Dreame H13 Pro Wet/Dry Vacuum Cleaner

Mopping is made easier with the new Dreame H13 Pro, the upgraded version of the H12 Pro, which comes with upgraded features for an easier clean and maintenance. For example, the Dreame H13 Pro has 60ºC hot water washing as well as a faster 30 minutes hot air drying. It also has LED lights located at the front of the vacuum to see dirt easier and a new GlideWheel Power System for easy handling of the vacuum. Features that made the H12 Pro a solid performer still remains such as the dual edge brush as well as 18,000Pa suction power.

Levoit Core 300S Smart Air Purifier

There are many air purifiers in the market, but the Levoit Core 300S Smart Air Purifier is of the smarter ones on the market. You are unlikely to be able to try this at Dasher Smart Home, but being able to see how it works is also useful for evaluation. I’ve tried the typical rotational round brush electrical toothbrush before, but eventually settled on the Oclean FLOW electric toothbrush. I found the sonic technology (ie. vibrations) to be more gentle and for my slightly sensitive teeth. The battery life on the Oclean FLOW electric toothbrush is also a big reason why I continued using it – up to 180 days means I only need to charge it twice a year.

How to go

Dasher Smart Home is located at 70 Bendeemer Road #01-01 Singapore. No appointments is required, so you can walk in as you please. They are opened from Mon-Sat: 10am -7pm, but are closed on Sundays and on public holidays.

Steriluxe Uvee (S$488)

Steriluxe Uvee is a sterilizer which uses advanced UV LED technology to kill 99.99% of bacteria, viruses, and mold in just 7 minutes. Steriluxe Uvee comes with 4 modes – (1) Sterilize, (2) Dry, (3) Auto, and (4) Store to help sterilize and dry items commonly used items at home. I feel the Steriluxe Uvee is best suited for families with young kids, especially those with newborns as you can use the Uvee to dry and steriluxe the baby bottles and toys before using.

1. Sterilize: 12 minutes – Operates sterilization procedure without the drying procedure
2. Dry: 40 minutes – Operates drying procedure without the procedure procedure
3. Auto: 60 minutes (40 min Dry + 12 min Sterilize + 3 min Change Air) – Starts drying procedure, then Sterilize procedure, and finally changing the air inside before automatically cutting power.
4. Storage: Every two hours, the machine will enter sterilization procedure for 2 minutes then change air for 2 minutes. Machine will automatically shut down after 24 hours.

Simple controls

When powered on, the Steriluxe Uvee sterilizer shows off a control panel and LED display. The control panel is touch-based, and features simple one-touch buttons to switch between various modes like Sterilize, Dry, Auto, and Store. While in a particular mode, the LED display show clear updates on the sterilization process, such as the time remaining.

The Steriluxe Aire is an air purifier which is suitable for use for a maximum space of 35m² / 377sqft, and has a clean air delivery rate (CADR) of 300m³/h. Steriluxe Aire features a 3-stage filtration system – (1) Primary filter, (2) H13 HEPA filter, and (3) Activated Carbon Filter.

Eliminate dust particles and neutralize odour

The first two filters work in harmony to traps dust, and pet fur, as well as smaller PM2.5 dust particles such as smoke particles and pollen. Finally, the activated carbon filter helps to remove unpleasant smells coming from your flooring, walls and stove.

The Steriluxe Aire is angled upwards, so you can actually feel a clean breeze blowing gently at you which is quite nice. It’s best to place the Steriluxe Aire at the corner of a room, so the angle can better distribute the air in the room. There are 3 speed modes – (1) Low, (2) High, and (3) Auto. I found that Low and Auto modes are generally quite quiet so you don’t really hear any fan noise. High fan speed will lead to audible fan noise.

The ring light colour on the Steriluxe Aire lets you know the level of air quality in your room. Blue represents good air quality, yellow represents average air quality, and red represents poor air quality. If you wish to use the Steriluxe Aire when you’re sleeping, the toggle off the ring light such that it doesn’t interfere in the dark.

App support for easy control and scheduling

Steriluxe Aire works with the Smart Life app which allows you to monitor indoor air quality, perform simple controls ,and schedule the purifier’s on/off mode. You can even connect it with Google Assistant and Alexa for voice-activated use, blending in with your smart home.

The app is relatively simple, without much insights. It would be nice if the measurement of air quality displayed the µg/m³ amount so that there is more information part from a ‘Good’ rating. Luckily, the app lets you track the remaining life of the filter so you know when to replace it. Alternatively, the colour light ring on the Steriluxe Aire will flash red indicating time for filter change.

Steriluxe Aire Mini (S$188)

The Steriluxe Aire Mini, which looks like a baby version of the Aire, is designed to be used in a small personal space, less then 10m² / 107sqft, and has a clean air delivery rate (CADR) of 100m³/h. It is most ideal for use in your car, or perhaps at your office cubicle. The features and benefits of the Aire Mini is very similar to the larger Aire, as it employs the same 3-stage filtration system.

Usage of the Aire Mini is designed around a plug-and-play model, and there is no supported app for it. There is no built in battery, so you’d need to power it up via USB-C at the back of the purifier. Once powered on, the Aire Mini will run into Auto mode, and will atomically switch modes based on the detected air quality. The same colour rings are also being denoted so that you check easily – Green for good air quality, yellow for average air quality, and red for poor air quality. You can tap a touch based button on the purifier to switch between fan modes, and that’s about it.

At max fan speed, the Aire Mini is quite audible. I’d probably only use this mode if I want to remove the food smell left in the car by my takeaway food. The size of the Aire Mini is very compact. At just 70mm wide, it should sit comfortably in most car’s cupholder. The Aire Mini also comes with a replaceable filter which you can access by twisting the top part of the purifier like opening a water bottle. There isn’t an indicator as to when you should change the filter, but Steriluxe says that you should change it after 6-9 months if daily usage is around 2-4 hours a day.

Given it has a mopping feature, this means there’d be a water tank to refill and mop pads to be washed and dried. Thankfully, Roborock managed to get rid of these manual labour on your end with the Q Revo’s multifunctional dock. This reduces your need for repeated manual work, and keeps maintenance to a minimum with a slew of features:

Self-Washing of mop pads

After the Q Revo is done mopping, the mod pads will spin and scrub along the dock base so that they are kept clean after every run. This means no need to manually wash the dirty mop pads! And when you want to clean your floor the next time, you’ll know that the mops are good to go right away.

Self-Drying of mop pads

It is important that you dry the mop pads after washing. If not, it can lead to unpleasant odour and the growth of mold. There are two ways to mount slim top fans in the NR200 – (1) 3D print slim fan mounting pins, or (2) make up the extra length with silicon spacers. I’ll cover the second way which is using silicon spacers as it is a cheaper and easier solution.

Materials needed

You’ll need to purchase silicon spacers. They are typically used for making DIY jewellery to act as washers, and are available for a very low cost. In Singapore, they cost about S$2-3 for a bag of hundred. As this solution requires you to push the spacer through the mounting pin, you should ideally find one that has small inner circumference.

You’ll also need HDD grommets that was included as part of the accessories in the NR200 box. You need 8x HDD grommets for a total of two top fans.

Implementation

The order of prepping is as follows: (1) mounting pin, (2) silicon spacer, (3) fan grill, (4) HDD grommet. Depending on the thickness of the silicon spacer, you may require more than two. I found that using two 2mm spacers worked well.

Once you have prepared the above on all 4 corners, insert it through the fans on the top panel of the NR200. The HDD grommets and spacers will help prevent any vibration from the fans or fan grill.

The end product should be like the images above. You’ll find that the mounting pins still protrude from the corners of the fan. However, this extra length coming down from the fan does not collide with any components in the main body of the NR200, allowing you to install your PSU in the SFX-L bracket.

Some history on custom acrylic Mr. Suit

Last year, there was some hype going on an acrylic stack Mr. Suit (aka Mr. Shirt) which ktechs ran a GB. It was a cheap way to experience the premium Owlab Mr. Shirt, albeit not the same feel and acoustics. The total cost of all the parts needed ranged between S$140-$180 (depending if you self-sourced the parts or joined the GB).

I built one as well – it looked quite cool with the transparent casing, but it was not the cleanest as the stack isn’t perfectly aligned, screws were visible, and the USB port was not neatly enclosed. But for its cost, it was great value for the performance it offered.

Is it worth building?

I was always itching to get a nicer case for the acrylic Mr. Suit. Then enter the Tiger80 Lite by KBDfans. The case was able to fit the Mr. Suit PCB as long as you purchase some parts from Hyperboring on Taobao (who makes custom designed plates and parts in order to align the fit in the Tiger80 Lite case).

If you already have a spare Mr. Suit PCB lying around, or able to get it for cheap, then it could be worth building the Suger80 as the rest of the parts will come cheap. If you’re building it from scratch, the combined parts (stabilisers not included) from Taobao will be about S$140 (incl. shipping and GST), versus getting the Tiger80 Lite kit (stabilisers included) for S$165 (incl. shipping and GST).

Build process

Building the Suger80 is essentially the same as building the Tiger80 Lite, except that you’re using the Suit80 PCB instead of the Tiger80 PCB. First thing you’d want to do is to screw on the Hyperboring daughterboard to the bottom case. The screws required will be included in the package of the Tiger80 Lite.

Next, once you’re done with your stabilisers and mounting your switches on the PCB and plate, attach the gaskets onto the Hyperboring plate. The gaskets will sit nicely on the inlets of the bottom case. I’d recommend putting case foam as it helps to clean up the sound and reduce any resonance. Lastly, the top and bottom case are held together by the 10 included screws.

Conclusion

The price difference between building the Suger80 or just simply getting the Tiger80 Lite kit is not that big. The main difference lies between the PCB – Suit80’s PCB has more flex cuts (per key) vs the Tiger 80’s PCB (flex cuts by row). Tiger80’s PCB has RGB lighting but Suit80’s PCB doesn’t. If you happen to be interested in building the acrylic stack Mr. Suit, then I’d recommend building the Suger80 instead as it is easier, and the finished product just looks and feel more polished than the acrylic stack.

Vertical Laptop Stand

My 15-inch MacBook Pro runs my entire setup. I wanted my MacBook Pro to stand vertically so that the base is exposed, allowing it to cool faster as compared to if it was resting on the table. Also, having my MacBook Pro standing will help free up desk space.

The Ugreen Vertical Laptop Stand comes in two models – (1) Single slot, and (2) Double slot. I am using the Double slot model as I sometimes store my iPad Pro on the second slot when I am not using it. The Ugreen Vertical Laptop Stand is made from aluminum alloy which features a sleek space grey colour, which really matches my MacBook Pro well. Build quality is great. It has slight heft to it at 300g, and the screws located on the stand allow you to adjust the gap between 12mm to 26mm, as shown below.

There are rubber cushions on the surface which the laptop makes contact to prevent any scratches. The base of the stand is padded with silicon to prevent it from moving around. Once my MacBook Pro is locked in well, it is sturdy. I particular like how the middle of the stand is hollow compared to other stands where it is covered with aluminum. As most heat exhaust of laptops are located at the back, having a hollow middle allows for greater airflow.

360° Rotating Phone & Tablet Stand

Having my iPad Pro along with my MacBook Pro, I tend to use the Sidecar feature quite often, so I wanted to be able to place my iPad Pro at eye level next to my monitor. The Ugreen 360° Rotating Phone & Tablet Stand is exactly what I wanted.

The Ugreen 360° Rotating Phone & Tablet Stand is secured by clamping it between my table, and once it is locked in place it is very stable. The holder supports phones or tablet between 4″ to 12.9″ of diagonal screen size, so most tablets in the market would be supported. The spring loaded mechanism allows for easy extension and adjustment of the arms. There are knobs you can tighten/loosen to adjust the tension of the springs.

Combined with the 360° ball joint of the holder, I can adjust it any way I like. You can even setup a top down view, which is useful for product demos or taking an aesthetic flat-lay shot. I also like to use the Ugreen 360° Rotating Phone & Tablet Stand to hold my iPad so I can watch shows on my bed.

The Ugreen 360° Rotating Phone & Tablet Stand retails for S$40. If you do see yourself using something like this as a daily driver, I find that is worth paying for. It would be nice if Ugreen sells other accessories such as a 1/4″ mount to use on the stand so it can double as a microphone arm as well.

MU006 2.4GHz Wireless Silent Mouse

The Ugreen MU006 Wireless Mouse is an ergonomically shaped mouse, with a pronounced bump on the left side of the mouse for right-handed users to rest their thumb comfortably while using. The left side is rubberized in order to offer better grip when using the mouse.

There is currently only one colour option, which is black with a grey top shell. It would have looked nicer if Ugreen went for a matte black top shell as the current grey one does pick up some fingerprints and oil. The overall build quality is quite good. No noticeable creaking of the plastic shell.

I would personally classify the size of the Ugreen MU006 Wireless Mouse to be in the small/medium segment. Apart from the standard left and right click buttons, the Ugreen MU006 Wireless Mouse also features back and forward buttons which are helpful for productivity. You can check out how the mouse sounds like below:

All of the buttons, including the scroll wheel are silent operation, meaning the clicks are more of thuds. You can still hear the scroll wheel ratcheting but it is muted. This is great for use in the office. When it comes to feel of the buttons, they feel dampened compared to the typical tactility of regular mouse clicks.

USB C to HDMI 2.0 Adapter

I’m using a PRISM+ monitor which does not have USB-C as a display input. And my MacBook Pro doesn’t have a standard HDMI port. So, in order for me to use a standard HDMI cable, I’d have to use an adapter to convert one HDMI end to USB-C.

And this is achieved through my Ugreen USB C to HDMI 2.0 Adapter. It is a HDMI 2.0 adapter, which means it supports up to 4K @ 60Hz or 2K @ 144Hz. If you’re somehow running an 8K setup then you might need to look elsewhere. What I really like about the Ugreen USB C to HDMI 2.0 Adapter is its build quality. The casing is made from aluminum in a space grey finish which has come to be a standard of Ugreen. The 10cm cable is nylon braided for greater durability.

8K 60Hz HDMI 2.1 Braided Cable

Even though my above HDMI adapter is only up to HDMI 2.0, I decided to use Ugreen HDMI 2.1 Braided Cable for future proofing. HDMI 2.1 means that it can support up to 8K @ 60Hz or 4K at 120Hz. There is also support for eARC, with a larger bandwidth of 48Gbps.

Apart from being the highest spec-ed HDMI cable you can get now, I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cable. The 7mm thick cable is thicker than typical HDMI cables, with its PVC and cotton braiding making it incredibly tough.

There are many lengths you can choose from. The Ugreen HDMI 2.1 Braided Cable in 2-meters is priced at S$12.

RCA to 3.5mm Braided Cable

Every desk setup should have a sound system, be it a 2.0 speaker or a pair of headphones. I am currently rocking the Creative T60 2.0 speakers together with the Fosi Audio Q4 DAC. To get the best from my speakers, I’d need to connect the speakers to the DAC via a RCA to 3.5mm audio cable.

And I have decided to count on Ugreen RCA to 3.5mm Braided Cable to do just that. There are a few RCA cables that Ugreen sells, but I particularly like this one as the cable is cotton braided and uses a zinc alloy shell for its housing that feels premium.

4-Ports USB-A Hub

Most of portable USB drives and accessories still use USB-A so I like to have one-stop shop for all my USB-A devices to be plugged into. The Ugreen 4-Ports USB-A Hub is one of the rare few USB hub that Ugreen sells which has a cable length of 1 meter. This means I am not forced to put the Ugreen 4-Ports USB-A Hub near my MacBook Pro, and can choose where to place it on my desk.

The Ugreen 4-Ports USB-A Hub features three USB-A port on the front, and one at the top. I like this unique layout of having one port at the top as it allows me to plug in my ATH-G1WL wireless dongle there without taking up too much space. It would have been great the hub came with an option to use your own USB-C to USB-C cable. Also, Ugreen should also consider adding rubber feet to the base of the hub so it won’t slide around easily.

Lightning to 3.5mm Adapter

Sometimes I like to kick back and relax at my desk listening to songs on my iPhone with my Moondrop Chu IEM. However, since iPhone doesn’t have a 3.5mm AUX input anymore, I’d need to get a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter. Sure, I could get the Apple’s one for S$15 but it’s made from plastic.

Ugreen’s Lightning to 3.5mm Adapter has an aluminum option with a braided cable. I much prefer this as it will be far more durable than what Apple has to offer. Furthermore, the Ugreen Lightning to 3.5mm Adapter is MFI certified, meaning that it is officially licensed by Apple.

The Ugreen Lightning to 3.5mm Adapter retails for S$16, a little more expensive than Apple’s but for the better materials used – I’d say it is worth it.
