JBL unveils three new true wireless earbuds and speakers at IFA 2020

JBL has unveiled at the virtual IFA 2020 three new true wireless earbuds and three new speakers. There’s a lot to unpack so let’s get into it.

New earbuds

JBL expands its true wireless line-up with the JBL LIVE FREE NC+, the REFLECT MINI TWS and the TUNE 225 TWS.

JBL LIVE FREE NC+

The new JBL LIVE FREE NC+ earbuds looks to be the ANC version of the JBL LIVE 300TWS. It has improved battery life of 7 hours per full charge, with 14 more hours in the charging case. The charging case is able to be charged wirelessly. Another improvement is that the JBL LIVE FREE NC+ earbuds is rated at IPX7 water and sweatproof to accompany you on your gruelling workouts. Best part? It now comes with active noise cancelling (ANC).

The JBL LIVE FREE NC+ will be available in black, white, blue and rose. Prices are not yet announced but it would be available from Q1 of 2021.

JBL REFLECT MINI TWS

JBL Reflect Flow gets a mini version in the form of the JBL REFLECT MINI TWS. But this new pair of earbuds is small but mighty. JBL REFLECT MINI TWS are designed for workout enthusiast as it comes with secure ear fins and an IPX7 waterproof design. There is even active noise cancelling (ANC).

The JBL REFLECT MINI TWS will be available in black, white and blue. Prices are not yet announced but it would be available from Q1 of 2021.

JBL TUNE 225TWS

Just three months after the launch of the JBL TUNE 220TWS, JBL releases an update with the new JBL TUNE 225TWS. Battery life is now improved to last 5 hours per full charge with another 20 hours in the charging case. Sound is powered by 12mm dynamic drivers and you can use either side of the earbuds for calls or music.

JBL TUNE 225TWS is available in black, white, pink, blue, grey, rose gold. They retail for S$169 and will be available from October 2020 onwards.

New speakers

JBL updates its speaker lineup with three new portable speakers: JBL Xtreme 3, JBL Go 3 and JBL Clip 4, in vibrant new designs.

JBL Xtreme 3

The new JBL Xtreme 3 features four improved drivers and two pumping JBL Bass Radiators to deliver a large immersive stereo sound. The handy carrying strap also gets a small upgrade. The Xtreme 3 is also IP67 water and dust-proof. The speaker now comes with Bluetooth 5.1 and charges via USB-C. There is a built-in powerbank to charge your devices if battery ever goes low. The PartyBoost feature allows you to pair two JBL PartyBoost-compatible speakers together for big stereo sound.

The JBL Xtreme 3 retails at S$399 and will be available in November 2020.

The pocket-sized JBL Go 3 gets a new edgy design and look inspired by street fashion. The mini speaker last 5 hours per full charge, and now comes with Bluetooth 5.1 and charges via USB-C. The Go 3 is also IP67 water-proof and dust-proof.

The JBL Go 3 retails at S$79 and will be available in November 2020.
