Xiaomi announces Redmi 10 – a new entry-level smartphone

The new Redmi 10 comes with major upgrades compared with its predecessor, such as a 50MP hi-res camera, 90Hz 6.5” FHD+ AdaptiveSync display, a powerful chipset and a sleek design. Despite flagship feature set, the new Xiaomi Redmi 10 still comes in at an entry-level price from just S$229.

Big camera and fluid display

Redmi 10’s 50MP ultra-high resolution main camera will be able to capture amazing content with sharp details. Accompanied by a 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor, Redmi 10 offer many options to capture moments in all situations. There is also a suite of stylish filters to add flair for your shots, as well as panorama selfies which is ideal for large group shots.

With regards to display, Redmi 10 has a large 6.5” screen with FHD+ resolution, while a 90Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and swiping. Paired with AdaptiveSync technology, Redmi 10 automatically adjusts the refresh rate to your content, keeping your battery alive longer as it’ll boost refresh rates for only those moments when you actually need it. In addition, Redmi 10 features Reading Mode 3.0 to relax your eyes as you browse content.

New chip and new look

Redmi 10 sports a 2.0GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 processor. It also has a massive 5,000mAh battery which is able to do 18W fast charging. Xiaomi will include a 22.5W charger. In addition, Redmi 10 comes with MIUI 12.5 out of the box.

Redmi 10 has a sleek and stylish design that’s smooth to the touch. It’s available in 2 colors – matte Carbon Gray and Pebble White with a classic, smooth fingerprint-proof finish.

Pricing and availability 

Redmi 10 comes in two variants – 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB and from August 20, both will be available for purchase at SGD 229 and SGD 249 respectively via Xiaomi’s official sales channels. 

Redmi 10 4GB+64GB will only be available for purchase online on Lazada and Shopee at a special price of SGD 219 (while stocks last).
