Early this week, Singapore custom PC company Dreamcore has officially opened its doors to the public to visit the brand new Dream Centre. The Dream Center is a hub for the Dreamcore’s growing operations. The 10,000 square-feet space houses the expanded Dreamcore office, retail, concierge and service zones and a state-of-the-art PC assembly and testing facility, designed to help advance Dreamcore’s two key priorities – custom craft builds and a guided customer experience.
I had the opportunity to drop by the Dream Centre to experience what it has to offer. The main attraction of this 10,000 sqft space is the Dream Factory which is where builders work on customers orders of building their PC. The room is enclosed with a huge glass window so you can actually witness and see the builders at work.
The Dream Centre also has experiential booths for you to test out the Dream Builds PC and SuperSolid peripherals such as their monitor and mouse. They have pre-installed some games such as Valorant, so you can test the performance before deciding on making a purchase. Also, it could be a good idea to check out the different cases Dreamcore offers – whether it is a mini-ITX, ITX or ATX, you can see it in person to gauge the size.
The Dream Centre also doubles as a service centre Dreamcore. If you have any issues with your PC, you can drop by and head to their aptly-named ‘Spacebar’ to seek help. Apart from housing Dreamcore’s own products, the 10,000 sqft space helps to facilitate a range of experiences including product and brand showcases, activations, workshops, live events and competitions.
The Dream Centre is a good step forward in changing the mindset of getting a Windows PC system. Custom building PC can be daunting as you may not know what internals you should put it to get it to fulfil your needs, so most people end up buying off the shelf PCs. With the Dream Centre, Dreamcore is looking to change that. Custom build PCs tend to offer more value for money and you can even choose the design of the case that fits your setup.
The Dream Centre has also showed that custom build PCs are not just meant for gamers. Whether you are a light user or content creator, there is a right PC for you. And you can arrange for an appointment at their Config Station to explain your needs and Dreamcore will be able to put together a PC that fits your needs, budget and size constrains.
Before deciding on buying a PC off the shelf, it is probably worth heading down to the showroom to experience a variety of products first-hand, including custom water-cooled desktops and some of Dreamcore’s most popular Dream Builds.
The Dream Centre is located at Precise Tree, 55 Kim Chuan Drive #09-01, Singapore 537098. It will be open to the public from 1 December 2021. Opening hours are 11am to 8pm from Mondays to Fridays, and 11am to 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The Dream Centre will be closed on public holidays.
