What’s the catch?
No catch actually, but this service is only available for MyRepublic fibre broadband customers. And it is expected to be generally available in 2022. Customers may sign up through MyRepublic’s MyAccount dashboard, or through any official or partner retail stores.
Do note that the 14GB of mobile data is actually 4GB of 4G/LTE speeds and 10GB of managed speeds at 1Mbps. 1Mbps is not good enough if you want to consume media content, so its best used for general online messaging. So realistically, you should expect 4GB of “usable” speeds at S$4 per month.
Once you have hit the data cap, you can purchase add-ons at S$4/GB, or simply wait until the next billing cycle.
