Sonos debuts their new cheaper Roam SL portable speaker

On the back of their Roam portable speaker, Sonos is making their Roam series more accessible than ever with the new Roam SL. Roam SL remains an ultraportable speaker that sounds great and can be taken anywhere, now at a more affordable price without a microphone. Roam SL retails for S$299.

Like Roam, Roam SL offers a loud and powerful sound for its size, a battery life that lasts all day, and easy set up, packed into a durable and portable design. If you don’t need the microphone you can consider saving S$30 and opting for the SL model.

Full specifications are as follows:

  • Detailed sound with the clarity, depth, and fullness you’d expect from a larger speaker.
  • Connect to the rest of your Sonos system at home on WiFi and automatically switch to Bluetooth when you’re away.
  • Stereo pair Roam SL with a second Roam SL, or a Sonos Roam via WiFi.
  • Up to 10 hours of continuous playback on a single charge and up to 10 days of battery life when in sleep mode. For even longer battery life, enable the Battery Saver setting so your speaker powers down completely when not in use.
  • IP67 rating – Dust proof and fully waterproof
  • Tactile buttons.
  • Triangular shape and soft profile for comfortable to pick up.
