Design and build quality
The UWANT D700 features a modern and minimalist design with a matte gunmetal finish. The ring-shaped handle design is quite unique which stands out visually from other brands. It can rotate around a hinge for flexible handling, or lock into place if you prefer a fixed grip and control. The entire unit feels robust, well-balanced, and easy to handle even with one hand.

The clean and dirty water tanks (700ml and 650ml, respectively) are combined together as one single unit which is slots in neatly in the vacuum cleaner and pop out easily for refills and disposal. The charging dock has a low profile and is designed for push-in docking, which feels modern and intuitive compared to traditional lift-over docks.

Cleaning experience and features
Using the UWANT D700 is straightforward, with its Smart, Turbo, and Dry modes controlled via handle buttons. Voice prompts and built-in mess detection make it user friendly and intuitive when switching modes or when cleaning is complete.
Once powered on, the vacuum will move itself forward thanks to the roller motion, requiring minimal effort from the user. UWANT D700 is also constructed with 180° lie-flat design, making cleaning under sofas and beds a breeze. I was able to get under furniture without needing to move anything around. Other than this, there are other key features that are worth highlighting in below sections. Regarding battery life, UWANT claims 40 minutes of runtime, which should be good enough to fully clean a 4-bedroom HDB apartment.
D-Shaped Roller Brush
The D-shaped brush is the UWANT D700’s standout new feature. Unlike circular rollers that struggle at the edges, the UWANT D700 hugs baseboards and corners effortlessly. I tested it on built-in wardrobe edges, under bed frames, and tight corners where dust tends to collect. It has better cleaning reach in one pass than circular roller brush.

The D-shaped brush has supposedly 6x more coverage than a traditional round brush, meaning broader and faster cleaning coverage in a single pass. During my testing, it usually takes just one glide for the surface to be cleaned from the stain leaving no streaks. I also found it to be more effective than circular roller brushes of other wet & dry vacuums that I’ve used before.
360° Omni Wheel System
The aforementioned D-shaped brush along with the 360° Omni Wheels on the UWANT D700, elevates the operational aspect of cleaning. Traditional wet dry vacuum cleaners can only be moved front and back with angled twisting.
With the 360° Omni Wheels, I was able to steer the D700 90º left and right, giving me more flexibility and control. It does take some strength to manoeuvre it 90º as there is some weight to push sideways.
Push-In Docking Base Station
The UWANT D700’s base station has a detachable slope piece which you can install to allow the vacuum to be pushed in easily, removing the need to lift it onto a charging dock. The dock has decent weight, but the anti-slip rubber on the base should be more substantial as occasional hits on the side can cause it to move.
Unlike older vacuum designs that require you to lift the unit back into its dock, the D700 allows you to simply push it into place. This makes a surprisingly big difference in day-to-day use. Even better, this design ensures that any remaining dirty water in the brush doesn’t drip onto your clean floor as you dock it.
20,000Pa Suction Power & Cleaning Modes
The D700 offers Smart, Max, and Dry modes. Smart mode auto-adjusts suction depending on floor mess. Max gives you full power for deep cleaning, and Dry mode is excellent for sucking up spilled liquids without the mopping function.

I’d assume that the Max mode is the one that will get you up to 20,000Pa of suction. There is no stats on the default suction power on Smart mode, but it had worked well during my cleaning tests.
Maintenance
UWANT D700 has some nifty features that does self-maintenance, so that it minimizes the work you have to do apart from throwing out the dirty water. And if you forgot to clear out the dirty tank, the stench may not be as bad as there are deodorising beads installed in the dirty water tank. Also, once the UWANT D700 is docked back into the base station, the self-cleaning of the mop is automatically kickstarted. You can cancel if by pressing the power button.
100°C Hot Water Wash
When it comes to sanitization, the UWANT D700 offers a 100°C hot water wash for deep sterilisation to dissolve sticky messes and stubborn stains and grease build ups. Compared to regular mopping or even standard wet vacuums, this high-heat wash gives comfort that the roller brush is always fresh before you start a clean, particularly in high-traffic kitchen areas.
Hot Air Drying & Steam Iron (75°C)
After cleaning, the UWANT D700 uses 75°C hot air drying for its roller — a thoughtful inclusion to keep smells and bacteria at bay. The drying cycle is decently quiet as well.
IPX6 Washable Roller Brush
After every use, you can remove the roller brush which is IPX6 rated to rinse it directly under a tap or shower head. This helps to extend the shelf life of the vacuum, allowing you to remove grime or dirt that may get stuck inside the roller mechanism.

Snapping the brush in and out is also intuitive — just press and release. It’s a nice feature for those who want low-maintenance upkeep.
Conclusion
The UWANT D700 is a well-rounded, operationally easy and effective wet & dry vacuum. It doesn’t have some of the cooler new features like SpotHeat spray on other brands, but it does what it is intended to do well. The new D-shaped roller brush makes edge-to-edge cleaning very effective, and features like push-in docking, and omni wheels are functional quality-of-life upgrades. Maintenance is also kept light with auto wash and dry at high temperatures. At its current launch price of S$649, the UWANT D700 is a great bang for your buck if you just care mainly about core cleaning features; D700 – Designed to Hug every Edge.
