Pedestal fans don’t always get much attention, but when the temperatures rises, a reliable one makes a huge difference. The Levoit Pedestal Circulation Fan, which is can be installed at two height options, is one to consider, offering a good balance between performance and practicality at a price of around S$199.
Design and build quality
Levoit has opted for a clean, minimal look with the Pedestal Circulation Fan, finished in matte white plastic that has nice round edges throughout. Build quality is sturdy and well put together. The fan head oscillates smoothly and the overall construction feels solid once assembled.

One nice touch is an option install at two different heights — thanks to a two-part stem, the fan can be set to either a full 110cm or a shorter 70cm setup, making it versatile for different rooms or furniture setups. Assembly is relatively straightforward, and the fan head comes pre-assembled, saving a bit of time.

There’s a simple control panel up front with a LED to display speed and temperature (in Eco mode), but more controls live on the included remote. The remote control is super slim and it’s convenient that Levoit designed a magnetic dock at the back of the fan for storing the remote. The remote being a lightweight and slim component comes with membrane buttons that aren’t especially satisfying to press.

Features
The Levoit Pedestal Circulation Fan offers four modes to choose from: Normal, Turbo, Eco, and Sleep. The fan has a memory function that will remember all of its previous settings except for timer and oscillation.
- Normal Mode is the default fan mode, and gives you manual control over speed and oscillation, letting you customise it to your needs – up to 12 fan speeds to choose from
- Turbo Mode turns both vertical and horizontal oscillation on and delivers maximum airflow – great for quickly cooling down a room.
- Eco Mode automatically adjusts the fan speed based on ambient temperature (see table below). For instance, higher speeds kick in when it detects the room getting warmer. It’s energy-smart and helps keep noise to a minimum.

| Room temperature | Fan speed |
|---|---|
| ≤21ºC | 1 |
| 22ºC | 2 |
| 23ºC | 3 |
| 24ºC | 4 |
| 25ºC | 5 |
| 26ºC | 6 |
| 27ºC | 7 |
| 28ºC | 8 |
| 29ºC | 9 |
| 30ºC | 10 |
| 31ºC | 11 |
| ≥31ºC | 12 |
- Sleep Mode works similarly but sticks to lower speeds and turns off the display lights for an undisturbed rest.
One feature I really appreciated is its oscillation flexibility both vertically and horizontally. After pressing and holding the oscillation arrow button for 3 seconds, you can choose between 30°, 60°, 90° for horizontal, or 120° for vertical tilt. This adjustability makes the fan more precise in targeting airflow — whether you’re cooling one person or a whole living room.
There’s also a timer that can shut the fan off after 1 to 12 hours. Unfortunately, there’s no feature to automatically turn it on after a set duration, which would have made it even more flexible.
User experience
On paper, the Levoit Pedestal Circulation Fan has a maximum fan speed of 7.5m/s and air volume of 2,465m³/hour. The breeze you get relaxing and gentle with the fan on speed 6 at 3 metres felt really nice. Even at speed 6, the noise is very low. You would probably start to notice the fan noise only from speed 8 onwards.

You can use the Levoit Pedestal Circulation Fan in different ways. I use it mainly as a direct wind source so I usually place it further away so the wind feels more gentle like a breeze. But given the fan’s ability to point directly towards the ceiling, you can (1) point it towards the air conditioner to circulate cool air quickly, or (2) towards laundry to expedite drying.
Maintenance
To clean the fan, simply use a phillips screwdriver to remove the front grille, and use a vacuum or duster to clean the inside of the fan. For replacement of battery in the remote control, I like how it uses a pull compartment vs the typical coin twist mechanism.
Conclusion
At S$199, it is a little more pricey than traditional pedestal fans, but the Levoit Pedestal Circulation Fan does look nicer and has more features up its sleeve. Levoit Pedestal Circulation Fan is a solid all-rounder for Singapore’s humid weather and can be used in different ways for added flexibility.
