Moshi Deep Purple – Origami-style Foldable and Portable UV Sanitizer available soon

As keeping clean and staying hygienic has become more important in 2020, we have seen a wide variety of such products coming to market. Moshi has also created a UV sanitizer called the Moshi Deep Purple. UV santizers got popular in 2020 as there is an increasing need to keep our things such as phones clean as we spend the most time with it. The Moshi Deep Purple is unique as it is super portable due to its origami-style folding that we’ve seen on their VersaCover iPad case.

Why Moshi Deep Purple vs other sanitizers

For the first time, Moshi has launched their new product on Kickstarter as Deep Purple is a new product type that the Moshi innovation team has created. Let’s take a look at Moshi Deep Purple key features:

360º cleaning

Most UV sanitizers only clean the top of your devices, meaning that you will have to flip it over and repeat the cleaning session. This makes cleaning twice as long and making it slightly hassle-some.

In the Moshi Deep Purple, there is a transparent LumiClear platform which elevates all the devices in it, and with its reflective Teflon-coated base, ensures a 360º coverage of UV cleaning. And you only need to clean it once.

Ultra portable origami-style folding

Using the same origami-style folding concept on the VersaCover iPad case, the Moshi Deep Purple features superb portability as it is able to be folded flat neatly of just 2cm thickness. This makes it really convenient to bring the Deep Purpose UV sanitizer around, so you can sanitize on the go.

Moshi Deep Purple UV sanitizer requires to be powered by USB to work. You can power the Deep Purple via the USB-C port using a wall plug, car charger, or even a power bank. Making it easy and convenient to sanitize your devices wherever you are.

1.7 litres of sanitizing space

The Moshi Deep Purpose has a large enough space to store all your daily essentials so you can clean them all at once during the 4 minute clean. Moshi Deep Purple measures 21.7cm * 13cm * 6.1cm.

UV indicator to show clean completion

Moshi Deep Purple uses ultra-violet type-C light. Moshi claims that UV type-C rays with short wavelengths is able to target the DNA of microbes cells, making them unable to reproduce.

Moshi Deep Purple has a UV indicator inside which contains UV-reactive paint that will change colour with exposure to UV-C rays. This allows you to see visible confirmation that the interior has been exposed to a sufficient quantity of UV light.

Safety mechanism in place

As good as UV rays are in sanitizing out devices, we do not want to be exposed to them. As such, Moshi has ensured that Deep Purple features dual safety mechanisms to ensure no accidental UV leakage.

The two safety mechanisms are: (1) Magnetic interlock to prevent UV-C lights to turn on unless properly engaged, (2) internal light sensor detects external light and turns off Deep Purple.

10-year global warranty

And the best part of purchasing a Moshi product is always its 10-year global warranty. The length of the warranty gives you a great assurance that the Deep Purple is a product that is built to last. And it should also provide some security, knowing that you can get your product fixed if you face problems.
