It’s CES 2021, and ASUS has announced a whole slew of ASUS and ROG products. Let’s start with the ASUS products first, namely the ZenBooks.
Refresh of ZenBook Pro Duo 15 and ZenBook Duo
We have the ZenBook Pro Duo UX582, which is an update to the ZenBook Pro Duo UX581 which was launched back in 2019. The smaller sibling also gets an update, which is now known as the ZenBook Pro Duo UX482. So what’s new? The second display, which is the ScreenPad Plus now features an additional hinge which can be tilted for more comfortable viewing experience. This tilting also helps with cooling.
On the software side of things, there is a new ScreenXpert 2 software which offers more customisations for the Screenpad Plus to help boost productivity. The new Control Panel in ScreenXpert 2 will work with Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, Premiere and After Effects, and more apps in the future.
In terms of tech specs, the beefy ZenBook Pro Duo 15 UX582 can be configured up to a Core i9-10980HK processor and a maximum of 32GB of RAM and 1TB SSD. It will also come with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 GPU. As for the more portable ZenBook Pro Duo UX482, it will be come with the new Intel Tiger Lake processors, and you can configure up to 32GB of RAM and up to 1TB of SSD storage.
ASUS ZenBook 13 OLED UX325
This is a new 13.3-inch ZenBook model that features an 1080p OLED display, which supports 100% DCI-P3 colour space. It is ultraportable as it measures just 13.9mm thick and weights 1.14kg. As for the internals, it will be running the new Intel Tiger Lake processors.
ASUS ZenBook Flip 15
The ZenBook Flip 15 is one of the world’s most compact 15.6-inch convertible laptops, featuring an FHD NanoEdge touchscreen. It will come with the new Intel Tiger Lake H Series processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics.
ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE
The Zephyrus Duo 15 SE, is a special edition of its dual-screen gaming laptop. It will be powered next-generation AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX Mobile Processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU. Its display ranges from a crystal clear 4K 120Hz panel or responsive FHD 1080p 300 Hz. The Zephyrus Duo 15 SE is 20.9mm thin and weighs 2.4kg.
ROG Flow X13 and XG Mobile external GPU
The ROG Flow X13 features a 13-inch body with up to an 8-core AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS CPU and dedicated GeForce GTX 1650 GPU. ROG Flow X13 has a 360° hinge which facilitates touchscreen viewing and interaction, quickly flipping from laptop mode into different positions for different use purposes. The Flow X13 is only 15.8 mm thin and weighs just 1.3 kg.
You can connect the Flow X13 to the ROG XG Mobile to add more GPU power. It incorporates up to a powerful GeForce RTX 3080 GPU. The dedicated USB 3.2 Gen 2 link has an I/O hub with extra connectivity, while an integrated 280W AC adapter powers both the XG Mobile and Flow X13, so yo do not have to carry an additional power brick.
